The Chemical Brothers, Exit Planet Dust, (1995).
At times this album feels and sounds more like a rock album. It’s those moments where a guitar comes screeching through the electronics and samples; where steady bass thumps through the speakers. Everything glitters and expands outward like some Jimmy Page solo gone madly and beautifully wrong. Somehow this combination of sounds and attitudes just works. You can both dance and rock out to Exit Planet Dust. Plus as far as debut albums go it’s pretty solid, and the future only held bigger and better things for the Chemical Brothers.
God, this album is like one giant jam. Lighters up!
